Terrence E. McCartney is an accomplished trial attorney who practices primarily in the field of product liability law, including automobile and trucking crashworthiness, defective workplace machinery and unsafe consumer products. Terry has successfully represented clients against many of the nation’s leading product manufacturers and most of the major insurance companies. Terry has also been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in New York for many consecutive years. He is admitted to practice law in New York and California and has been admitted pro hac vice to numerous other states during his career.

Terry has published numerous articles and lectures extensively at the local, state and national levels. He litigated one of the first air bag product liability cases in the country to a successful conclusion. Terry has successfully handled numerous automobile crashworthiness and defective product cases, including several heavy truck post-collision fire cases, around the country and has obtained many seven and eight figure verdicts and settlements. He recently handled over a dozen Toyota sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) cases and served as the New York State Liaison Counsel in that national litigation.

Terry is an active member of his community in Rye, New York where he recently served as an elected City Councilman for four years. He coached youth sports for many years and continues to coach a boys and girls youth boxing program now. Terry served in the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserves as an infantry officer for over a decade, attaining the rank of Major, before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1997. He has continued to remain involved in veteran’s affairs since leaving active service.

Terry was born in Hawaii and grew up in a military family with four siblings all over the United States. Terry graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1986 and St. Thomas University School of Law in 1994. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Julia, for 31 years and they have two adult sons, Jack and Daniel. Terry enjoys playing golf, fly fishing, reading, travel and watching sports in his free time.

Christopher J. Stucky is an experienced trial attorney practicing in the areas of product liability, wrongful death and serious injury litigation. Chris began his career as a defense lawyer representing large corporations and insurance companies in these types of cases. However, many years ago, Chris shifted his practice to representing plaintiffs. Chris’ current practice is focused exclusively on representing individuals and families that have been impacted by defective products and the harmful decisions made by product manufacturers, trucking companies and large corporations. Chris has obtained tens of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for these individuals and their families. Chris is admitted in Kansas and Missouri courts but he is routinely admitted pro hac vice in courts across the country.

A particular focus for Chris and his firm has been litigating cases against heavy truck manufacturers for injuries and deaths caused by defects in heavy trucks, including post-collision fires, rollovers and underruns. In addition to litigating these types of cases, Chris has lectured extensively in this and other areas of practice.

Chris attended the University of Kansas where he obtained a B.S. in Business Administration and graduated from law school. Chris and his wife are the proud parents of three busy children. In his free time, when he is not attending his children’s sporting events, choir, musical and theatrical performances, he enjoys golf and traveling.

Austin Osborn began his practice in Kansas City in 2016 with the law firm Stucky & Fields and is now an associate attorney for McCartney Stucky. Austin’s practice focuses on representing individuals and families who have suffered devastating injuries or losses due to defective products or the negligence of others. Austin is dedicated to seeking justice and protecting the rights of those who have been wronged by corporate defendants and negligent individuals.

Austin has experience representing individuals in a number of practice areas including defective heavy trucks, commercial product liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, and employment discrimination.

Austin earned a Bachelors degree in Biology from Pittsburg State University in 2013. While at Pittsburg State, Austin was an active member of many student organizations including serving as the student body vice president. Austin also served on the University tuition council, was a member of the crimson club, a university student ambassador and was voted as the Pittsburg State Outstanding Senior Male in the class of 2013.

Upon graduating from Pittsburg State, Austin attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 2016. While at OU, Austin was again a member of student leadership serving as a class representative and as an officer for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Austin was also a member of the American Indian Law Review.

During law school, Austin gained valuable experience interning with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office and the University of Oklahoma’s general counsel office. Austin then spent his final two years of law school serving as a the senior law clerk for a Kansas City firm that represented personal injury plaintiffs and victims of employment discrimination.

In his free time, Austin and his wife enjoy traveling to see new things and meet new people. Austin is also an avid sports fan who passionately supports his favorite teams.

Rhett Wallace joined McCartney Stucky as an associate attorney in 2021. Rhett is an experienced trial attorney who specializes in representing the interests of victims. Prior to joining the firm, Rhett worked as a prosecutor in the Norfolk, Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney, Rhett prosecuted serious misdemeanors and violent felonies on a daily basis. He now seeks to help and make whole victims who are injured by dangerous defective products and negligent individuals.

Rhett earned his Juris Doctorate from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. At school, he focused on trial practice, completing a 12-month externship with the Pima County Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted numerous misdemeanor criminal trials. He also interned at the Suffolk, Virginia Public Defender’s Office, where he worked to help the indigent accused of criminal violations.

Before attending law school, Rhett earned his undergraduate degree in History from the College of William and Mary in 2014. While at William and Mary, he was a member of the varsity Men’s Swim Team. In his free time, Rhett enjoys golf, cooking, and travel.

 

Mike Ihrig is a trial attorney who specializes in representing individuals and families who have suffered injuries and losses due to the negligence and wrongdoing of others.  Mr. Ihrig’s main practice areas include product liability and personal injury including catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injuries and wrongful death.  

Mr. Ihrig earned his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law, where he graduated with Cum Laude honors.  Prior to law school, Mr. Ihrig earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.  

Mr. Ihrig’s experience offers a mixed background of legal knowledge including personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, mass torts, insurance coverage, and general commercial litigation.

He is currently admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey.  He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Southern Disctricts of New York as well as the District of New Jersey. 

Mr. Ihrig was born in New York as the son of a Naval Officer and raised primarily in Virginia.  Currently, he lives in Manattan with his wife.  In addition to practicing law, Mr. Ihrig is a decent golfer, an avid University of Virginia sports and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
