McCartney Stucky Obtains $4.3 Million Dollar Verdict in Case Against BMW
On Monday January 22, 2024, an Ulster County jury returned a verdict in favor of an injured individual represented by McCartney Stucky attorneys Terry McCartney, Austin Osborn and Rhett Wallace along with Joel Robinson from the New York City firm Robinson Yablon Cooper & Bonfante. The injured plaintiff suffered a severe left eye injury in a single car accident that ultimately led to the removal of his injured eye. Following the crash, McCartney Stucky filed a product liability case against BMW alleging that the driver’s side airbag in the vehicle was defective and caused the plaintiff’s severe eye injury. After a two week trial, the Ulster County jury who heard the case agreed that the BMW airbag was defective and awarded the injured plaintiff $4.3 million in damages.
